I am planning to install my new TS-480 in a 2002 Taurus. Have others had problems with this model automobile with mobile HF?

Thanks,

Where are you going to mount it? There is a reason the FT100D, IC706, and other small HF transceivers have become so popular. If yours is one of the few Taurus' without a center console you might be okay.

From a technical aspect, if you have the 4 valve engine, it has COP technology and about all you can do is split bead the wiring harness for both the COP units and injectors. You're still going to have some ignition noise even after you bond the various parts together.

If you have an FFV version, you might have some additional problems as has been reported by others. I've never owned one, so I can't say personally.
