I'm looking for some sources for a dual-band 2 meter/440 antenna that can mount on mirrors on larger vehicles.  Does anyone know of 3/8x24 mountable dual-band antennas?  I know Hustler has a couple 2 meter and 220MHz antennas, but I can't seem to find a 440 or dual-band antenna.

Thanks

The only good one in my opinion is the Larsen and it comes as an NMO mount. While you could use an adapter to mount it to a mirror, the lack of adequate groundplane will lessen its performance.

You might consider mounting it on the top of the vehicle, and if it is plastic, there are several good ways to make a groundplane using foils and/or aluminum plates.

Try Lakeview, the home of the Hamstick:

They have several mirror mounts and dual band antennas in NMO and 3/8x24 thread mounts.

We found some off-brand NMO mirror mounts.

It also occurred to me that I could just drill out a CB-ish mount and install an SO-239.  I'll probably do that for my personal kit.
