Hello everyone! I have a 2003 Ford Ranger 2.3l. I am having trouble tracking down some noise in the HF bands. This noise is only while the engine is running, but not at Idle speed. It is quiet at idle. It sounds like the noise that is typically present on 40 meters, but a lot stronger. It is close to S7. Any ideas as where to start?

If you visit my web site and click "Noise ID", you'll find some examples of the various received noises. Perhaps that will help you identify them.

I suspect it is ignition noise. If it is, you might want to read some of the other articles on the site.
