I have several channels and frequencies I would like to erase to have them appear as un-used channels again. The infromation does not appear to be in the book. Thanks.

I'd have to check to be sure, but I don't think you can erase them, you'd have to replace them.  I believe that's what I did with mine.

I had the same problem.  I couldn't find anything in the manual, so I wrote down the frequencies I wanted and reset the entire rig.  I then put back in what I wanted.  

The VX-150 has the same problem, don't know if it is in all Yaesu rigs.
