Yes, it appeared on Icom's Japanese web site about 2 weeks ago. My first impression is mixed. The 706 is difficult enough to operate mobile due in part to the size and the number of menus you have to switch between. With even more buttons and 2 more menus, who knows how easy it will be to operate. On the plus side, it does run a few more watts on the VHF bands, but at the expense of a larger main unit. Since most are remoted when installed in mobiles, the slightly larger size isn't a problem. US introduction will be at Dayton. It will be interesting to see what the list price is. I've heard $1,100.
