hi all i just bought the radio from a ham on the internet i hooked it up in my truck radio is super clean and everything there is one problem i have no audio from internal speaker i asked the the guy who sold it to me he said he had it since new and used it for packet so never gave it thought until he sold it to me he said use it with ext speaker which is fine but would like to have it work right is there a button to set or is it something wrong thanks in advance kb3lzz mike

Hi Mike,

I have two of these 2500's. They are a great radio and I'm sorry to say there isn't a "setting" that would mute the speaker(sound). You could take it apart and find something as simple as a wire broke/poor solder jount ect.,.

Unless you are confortable poking around the insides of the radio, don't do it. Unless you know what you are doing you can cause more damage than what's already there. Have someone who knows what they are doing look at it.

You don't want to use the internal speaker in a truck anyway. Use the external speaker mounted in a place where you can hear ir clearly.
