Will be taking Amtrak from NYC to Seattle. Want to operate from "deluxe bedroom" which has one window. Will have 857D, switching PS, MFJ tuner. Wire on window? very short (but hopefully resonant) dipoole bent to loop? Mostly interested in 20 meters.Any antenna ideas out there? marv, K2IPH

Good luck! I suppose you could use one of those tuned loop antennas like MFJ sells (if they let you on with it). But anything taped to the window isn't going to work even if you could load it up with the tuner. Even VHF HTs have a hard time on a train.
