Is there anyone out there whom has become an expert on this radio that might be able to lend me a hand?

im looking for several answers.
1. can this radio be set up to auto-transmit your call sign?
2. can this radio be set up as a mobile repeater for my handheld?

thanks...
Michael

1.  No
2.  Yes.  I am not sure whether or not you need the dtmf decode board or not for the cross band repeat to work.

No the radio will not auto tx your call sign.

Yes it will cross-band repeat. The process is fairly simple.

while pressing BOTH main/edit buttons, hold down the change/L button on the bottom left of the radio head.

This will activate your xband repeat function. You will know you were sucessful if the "key" (locked) is flashing. If not, press the change/L button to enter the edit mode and repeat the above step.
Good luck and 73s
