I have a vw multivan T4 bus. Great car for camping an amateurradio!
I am now speculating on where to put my 2M antenna?
I know that the roof probably is the best location, but I`ll get problems entering/exiting my garage. hihi.
How mutch signal loss will I get if I put it on the rear fender? Could go for a longer antenna then to compensate.
I have a magnet antenna, but to mutch hassle vith doors etc etc. Want to do a more permanent solution.

Anyone got experience?

Here's a suggestion. Use an angle bracket and mount an antenna on one side or the other of the hood seam. If you're buying a Larsen NMO type antenna (i.e.: NMO2/70BK), the part number of the bracket is TB34K.
