I am trying to program my IC-2710 with the ICOM CS-2710 software and OPC-646 cable made to do this.  I've had the software for sometime but never had to use it until recently when I had to get the IC-2710 repaired and dumped all the memory.  It says to connect the cable to the IC-2710 in place of the control head and then connect the cable to the computer com port... easy enough done.  The problem is that once you select the com port from the software it wants you to turn on the radio ... since the control head is off.. how do you do that?  Has anybody ever used this software and cable to program a IC-2710??
