I am looking for ideas of mounting an ICOM AH-4 tuner and a 108" whip on the vehicle.  I relize that higher on the vehicle is better, but I don't want to hit overhead things!!!

Read the antenna installation section. Alan has the best information around.

Personally, there are better choices than a coupler/whip combination, especially if you are contemplating 80m operation.

A smoking section in a restaurant makes as much sense as a peeing section in a swimming pool.
