I have a reciever hitch on my Tahoe. Thinking of getting a HS 1800 antenna. I have seen a few pix of the antenna mounted off to the side of the hitch. Is this an ideal way to mount this antenna using their (HS) mounting kit?Huh? And will it perform well?Huh Any suggestions would be great!!!! Tnx and 73's to all!!!!

Trailer hitch mounting isn't the best for a variety of reasons. If you go to my web site, and look under Antenna Mounts, and Antenna Efficiency, you'll get all of the answers.

The HS1800 is one of the better screwdrivers, so you'll need to do a good job of matching too. I have an article on that too.
