 Hi there,

The PARIS VHF repeater is working on 145.600 (shift -600KHz)
Guess this is probably the only that you could work from PARIS downtown with a handy TRX.
Note that all F repeater are between 145 and 145.787.5, and are using standard IARU channels.

If you're equipped, many other UHF repeaters are available.
You'll find a list on the following link:
http://www.ref-union.org/cnrr/pre_liste.html

Concerning the club station, I found the followings on the net:
Radio Club de Nanterre (Close to Puteaux)http://f6kur.multimania.com/lastation.html

If you agree, will relay your question on a french forum, where more people should be able to answer your question.
Pse let me know, and I'll show your mail for direct answers.

In addition, if you'll be able to drive, we would be pleased to welcome you in our F8KFK club station, which is 30km N/E from Paris.

Enjoy your stay.

Hi, Pat
Many thanks for your reply!
Would be delighted if you would relay my question to a
French forum.
Can operate QRP on HF, 6 and 2 meters and 440 mhz
(under CEPT), but with an indoor antenna in an
apartment in the 6th arrondisement.  Commute to
Puteaux by train, but do not have access to a car at
the moment.
Another question- is there a place in Paris where one
can purchase radio components?
Hope to meet you.

Hi,

Will relay your question on www.radioamateur.org
Pse e-mail me your own mail address, then I'll forward you the replies (didn't find yr mail here)

Note that 6 meters is FORBIDDEN in and around Paris, whatever your license class...

I'm not sure to well understand the question:
If you're looking for radio stuff (TRX, antenna, etc) try to visit:

GES
212 av Daumesnil 75012
phone 01 43 41 23 15

If you're looking for hardware (electronic components...), have no answer but will ask.
