TS-440S Lithium Battery Replacement

Can anyone tell me where the lithium battery is located in the TS-440S?  Any comments you may have as to how difficult it was to replace the battery will be appreciated.  Thank you, ED

If you have the instruction manual for the TS-440S, turn to page 29. There is a picture of the front panel removed for installation of the IC-10 kit. As you can see from the picture, the Li battery is on the same board as one must place one of the chips in the kit. Follow the instructions for removing the front panel, etc. However, you will also note that this Li battery is not simply one of the kind to just stick in a battery holder. This one has tabs that must be soldered onto the board, after removing the current one, of course. Therefore, prior to starting this project, make sure you get the correct battery. You may have to get it from Kenwood parts unless you know of another source. If you don't have the instruction manual, one can be found at http://www.mods.dk/index.htm
