Yaesu VX-1R Volume/Frequency Knob Repair

I just noticed today that I have a big crack in the plastic on the Volume/Frequency Knob on my Yaesu VX-1R.  I've had the radio for about 2 years now, and it's been a great starter radio for me.  I'd like to get a new knob, but I understand that the VX-1R has been discontinued. Does anyone know of a place where I can get a replacement and how much it would cost?  The radio is no longer under warranty, and I am in the process of checking repair/replacement prices at Universal Radio and AES (where I originally purchased it).  Thanks for the help.

That radio is not that old, regardless of whether it's being made or not.  You can get the part directly from Yaesu, but I don't know if they have a minimum order.

You might look the radio over carefully, how is the case, rubber inserts, antenna, battery?  Do you need a new antenna?

You may need a couple of other things, and IF they have a minimum order, you might find enough stuff to fill it!!
