Hi all....  I have an Icom T8A with a bad battery....  So, I decided to open up the battery pack to see what was inside...  I find these little NiCads that are longer than a AAA battery yet skinnier than a AA battery...

Can I just unsolder these and solder in new ones rather than buying a new battery pack?  Also, where can I find these batteries and what would they be called?

Thanks in advance for any help and/or advice on this...
