Bought this radio from a Mr. French in  Booneville,Ar.
Bought it expecting it to work.
No problems with unit disclosed in e-mails between myself and seller before sending $$$.
Heres what I got:

Memory doesn't hold. (New battery tried)
Ocasionally display shows just 1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 on both sides, then clears after numerous resets.
Numbers on mike worn off.
LCD display has dark (but readable) area on left side.

Tried to contact Mr. French numerous times thru e-mail. No Joy.

I can live with the mike numbers pad, but are the other problems repairable.

Is this worth repairing or have I been......... RIPPED OFF........by a fellow ham???
Paid $260.00 for it.

Jim,.... S. King fan.......are you there???

Ticked off in Maine,
Dan

Did you even got any responses to this msg? I also just bought an Alinco DR-600T from someone on eBay and I have questions about the unit's integrity. Let me know what you found out.

I have an Alinco Dr-600 that has recently lost it's memory.  Anyone know if the battery is easly replaced and it's location?

I also have a DR-600 question. Mine will suddenly unmute the squelch if it's jossled at all, for no reason. I'll have the volume and squelch muted, and it will still happen. It's a great radio for everything else, but the squelch sound drives me crazy! Any suggestions?

My radio lost it's memory, also.  Where is the battery located, and what type?  Thanks.
