Does anyone out there run an external pan adapter or bandscope on the 765 and if so, how?
Be curious to hear about it.

Check the first IF frequency in the service manual for the radio.  If it uses an up-conversion design to somewhere above 20 mhz you will need either an expensive SDR or to build a down converter.  Most of the popular SDRs like the LP-pan and SDR-IQ have no useable sensitivity above 20-30 mhz.
YOu will also need to modify the 765 to provide an IF output ahead of the first mixer.
