I would like to use my ic-7200 on the marine frequencies, I was told at the time of purchase that there is a modification for this. The printout I have shows that some diodes need to be removed and others added. Is this true? I was told that a simple removal of one diode is all that is necessary. Does anyone out there know the truth on the subject?
Thanks  Steve.

Thanks for the response. If what you were referring to was what I found that is the printout I was given when I purchased the radio. I was hoping that the single diode removal I had heard about was the answer. Will be trying this mod soon.
Again, Thanks.

Here we go again..
the  IC 7200 is not a certified radio  and  can not be legally used on the marine  frequencys..

And I know all the  arguments abut  ''emergencys.''
