Just checking to see if anyone has already solved a
couple of minor problems with this radio?
1.  VFO is very temperature sensitive.  I suspect
MFJ used the wrong type of caps.
2. AGC release timeconstant too short.  An AGC
slow/fast switch would be nice here.
Let me know if you have already come up with a
fix.   And thanks in advance.

Check on the board if the unit has mod 4 marked on it. The early MFJ rigs had that temp problem and MFJ changed the caps. A quick call to MFJ service and they may tell you the caps to replace. I sent mine in a few years ago and they replaced and upgraded for free.
