Hi,
I have this powermite that had been sitting out in a shed and exposed to some dampness. everything looks okay but dirty. It receives 40 and 80 okay but 20 meters is almost dead. seems like when I just  start to get the band peaked up with the tuning cap it start to receive broadcast band stuff and I'm not sure if its 160m broadcast or 40m. I don't have schematics yet. can someone give me a clue where the problem might lie??

I'd start by cleaning the contacts on the bandswitch(es).  The PM-
series used a CA3035 IC audio amp with ~100dB gain, and any
bit of rectification in the front end can lead to broadcast signals
detection.  (I think the VFO doubles on 20m as well, and
if the doubler stage is not working properly then you could pick up
a lot of 40m stations when tuning 20m.)

And give Ten-Tec service a call - there is a very good chance
that they could get you a copy of the manual.

Hi Andy,
I just found this site looking for info. on the PM2B.  Ten Tec sells the manuals for $7.95 +$1.00 shipping.  Their no.: 1800-833-7373.
