How to reduce power on icom-735 ?

When my power switch on panel is bottomed out ,i still read 10 wts. Question is how can i reduce power from 10 to like 5 wts without adding external equipment. Is there a pod of some sort like most smaller radios to reduce power. The radio is equipped with a 100 or 50 watt switch internally, even if i select 50 for max output, the radio will still put 10 watts minimun

The 725 and 735 have 2 small pots inside that control power output.  One controls low power and one controls high power.  I did this adjustment on my IC-725 years ago in order to bring the low power down to 5w.  If I remember correctly, they are labeled on the circuit board as hi-pwr and low-pwr.  I am sure it is R267 on the IC-735.  If you are not comfortable messing with the inside of the rig, you can hook a 9V battery and a variable resistor (potentiometer) to a RCA plug and plug it into the ALC plug on the back of the rig and turn the power down that way.  I tried that on the 725 first and it works.  The more voltage you feed into the ALC jack, the less power the rig will put out.
