Anyone have experience with both? I want to switch to an LCD monitor to save space on the desk, but wondering if I should expect more or less RFI than I am currently getting from my CRT monitor.

Yes...I have used both.  I experienced terrible RFI with a CRT....but with my LCD I hear a slight hash sound on the bands when the screen is a bright white background.  But the CRT is much worse than the LCD....in my experience anyway...your mileage may vary.  Also, getting your radio's as far away as possible from the monitor helps too.
