Please, don't take this the wrong way, I am just curious. Lately I have been seeing Silent Key listings in the Articles section. Is this something new and only for notable individuals?

I thought this was what the reason for Friends Remembered.

Again, no offence or disrespect intended. I am only curious.

Take care,
Craig

Hi Craig,

I took a quick look back several weeks and found no SK items in our "Articles" section.  Not to be "picky" but my guess is you meant "News".  If so, most of those stories are reprints/references to other sites' news and, yes, I'd say that "more notable" SK hams might appear there.

Just like in the news found in talk radio, newspapers (not counting the obituaries,) magazines, and of course on TV, if someone who is well known passes away it makes the news, and that's generally when there is a news article posted on eHam; when the SK is well known, or has held a position of note at one time or another.

Thanks men. I just did not recall ever seeing a listing there. Another case of me not paying attention.

I think what caught him by surprise is the random insertion into "forums"...

Is that what you are referring to...?
