I keep seeing this and wonder why some people post a request for help, get several well thought out suggestions (that have taken some of us time to compose) and then never come back?
At least they never post a reply to their original request letting us know that they have seen and read our suggestions. I think this happens far more than it should. I think that most of us are not looking for even a Thank You, but would at least like to know that our help was even seen!

Well, I hope they got what they were looking for. I asked for help on a TM-731a issue and when I found it on my own after a few days I did a reply that I figured it out.

Maybe they've been flamed to death.
I wouldn't come back to a discussion after some of the snotty responses I've seen by people supposedly offering help.

Well, the ones I am talking about have several helpful tips and NONE of them are "snotty". I would give example(s), but I do not want to single anyone out.

I agree that feedback from the originator would be very helpful.

One guess is a person might post the same question on different forum websites and either got his answwer elsewhere or forget to check them all.
I guess that would be a "trot line." hihi
Or the person has so many questions that he posts several at a time, and forgets how many he posted.
In any case, it would be courteous for the OP to post a response, a thanks, argument or a follow up question.

Yes, I agree. Also some say thanks and do not indicate which of the suggestions helped. However, just saying thanks at least shows he read the reply(s).

I expect some do not hang out on the forums. They have a question, they post it, and when they get it fixed they are off to other things.
Come to think of it - they may be smarter than the rest of us :-)

Zed,
It was not intended to be a "funny" comment.
Maybe it was insensitive, but I meant it seriously.
Sorry for any offense it may have presented.

I have ADD and do not find this thread offensive.
Oh, I'd say more but I just realized I need to watch the latest episode of LOST.
Out of time.
