I'm designing a new QSL for myself.  I live in Michigan and would like to use a photo of Michigan or the Great Lakes area from space as a background.  Does anyone know where I can find a public domain JPEG of these regions.  I've looked at several web sites but haven't had any luck.

Thanks,

Hi,

Here are links to get you started,

http://www.gsfc.nasa.gov/photos.html

http://aesp.nasa.okstate.edu/miohaesp/Michigan&Ohio/fitzimageGL.html

There is info on reproduction of photos for
non commercial use.

Other us govt agencies like USGS, NOAA, USEPA, etc..
could have an image you like.
