Anyone using set like in topic? How it sounds? Should I buy eq, or it is a waste of money to buy it for 746?
TIA, Mike

Don't have one yet but I have heard a few IC-746/W2IHY combos.  They all sounded great!
Heard one last night on 17 meters.

I have an IC-746 with the W2IHY equalizer connected to an ICOM SM-20 microphone.  Works very well. Suggest, though, that you bring the drive down to avoid over modulation.  The noise gate in the W2IHY is also great to have.

Good luck from Bert @ KA2UUP

I have one connected to my PROII and 746PRO with a Heil Gold Line Pro.  Awesome combination!
