I want to throw out two possible tuners that I have hear are good with the new IC-706. The AT-11
vs Z-100 by LDG for the IC-706? ( See this web site for them:

AT-11: http://www.ldgelectronics.com/at-11mp_description.html
Z-100: http://www.ldgelectronics.com/z-100_description.html

Between your two choices, get the AH-4.  It handles a greater impedance range.  Just make sure you don't use coax fed antennas.  You have to use ladder line to feed balanced antennas when using the AH-4
