I could not find a desk to fit my needs for a computer/ham equipment desk, I am not much of a wood worker but tried my hand at it and this is the result.  Turned out much better then I thought it would.

It looks really good and sturdy!  One thing I've done before is to place a 1/4-inch plywood back to hide the cables. Run it from the bottom of one shelf down to about an inch above the one below it. That leaves a 1-inch slot at the back of each shelf to run the cables thru.
