I was wondering if anyone has the MFJ - 969 Versa Tuner II?  Do you trust the swr meter on it?  I know not to trust the one on the IC-706MKIIG...
Thanks in advance...

I have one of those and no I do not trust it to be "accurate", I use my antenna analyzer for that (and use all resonant antennas by choice) but what it is good for is detecting changes.  I know what "normal" looks like on the meter and I can glance at it and tell something is amiss just by the needles positions relative to before.

Know what I mean?  Phil

I have the very same tuner.  Having checked it against my MFJ analyzer, I'd say it's "accurate enough".  Unless you really need to get that last gnat's whisker out, in which case you need a much better solution than this.

But it will tell you basically when you go grossly wrong.
