I've come to the conclusion that today's hamshack should have the PC's monitor placed directly in front of the user.  Unfortunately mine is sitting on a shelf located about 18" high.  This places  the monitor up too high.

I'm looking for a pantograph style monitor arm that would permit a flat screen to be lowered below the arm's base.  Everything I've found so far does not allow that far of an excursion.  Because of the pigeon holed equipment shelf on the desk, I need to clamp the arm on top of the shelf.

Short of designing a new equipment shelf, can anyone suggest a suitable arm?
