I have recently purchased a used HY GAIN HG 52SS tower and have a T2X that I bought in 1979 and have not used.

The problem is the T2X does not slip into the top section of the tower.  Has anyone encountered this and if so, how did you resolve it?

It slips in from the side, only when the top section is extended a few feet so the lower and mid sections don't overlap it, and only after cutting (torch or hacksaw) a piece of the Z-webbing that's in the way!

Been there, done that, back when the HG52SS was in production and a popular tower.  Last climbed a 52SS in about 1985, so this one made me think.
