I am interested in homebrewing a omnidirectional 2m horizontally polarized antenna similar to the M2 loop. If anyone can direct me toward plans or some theory on these antennas I would be appreciative. Look forward to hearing from everyone.

The "big wheel" or "cloverleaf" was a common omni horizontal
antenna which was described in my 1969 ARRL Handbook.  You
might look for other League publications of that era (Antenna book,
VHF manual, mobile manual) and see if you can find it.

It consists of 3 full-wave loops fed in parallel, and shouldn't be
difficult to design your own if you can't find a reference.
