I am in the process of putting up An older Wilson TT-45B tubular 40 ft tower with the self suporting tilt over base. I have no documentation on the tilt over base so I am flying a little blind on putting it together. It is pretty much self expanatory until I get to mounting the tilt over fixture to the base. Mine is such that there are only two bolts attaching it to the base which seems rather minimal for the strength it should need to raise the tower. There are two bolt holes going all the way through the raising fixture. Should the bolts be longer bolts that go all the way through the raising fixture and bolt to the inside of the base? It would seem so as it would be somewhat difficult to install the bolts from the inside of the raising fixture. Or, are they shorter and just go from the inside of the raising fixture and bolt to the inside of the base? Either way it doesn't seem like a whole lot of support for the raising fixture! Does the raising winch also attach with these two bolts to the raising fixture or does it attach some other way to the base section below the raising fixture? Thanks for your time. Mike Herron K7MH. Are the US Tower's bases the same?  If so maybe you could copy them.

I have a TT-45 with the raising fixture(rotator at top of mast instead of bottom of tower). There are 4 "J" bolts that come up through the concrete and attach to the bottom of the raising fixture. I can mail/email/fax a copy of my manuals(it may take a while to find them)to you.

You can see a picture of the tower on my web page at:

I don't know if anyone's still looking at this 2 year old post but I believe I have a 44 or 45B Wilson (inherited tower, no manual) and for years thought it was the US Tower MA40.  I used the base bolts on my tilt over base and they've held up fine for 9 years now.
