Hi again!

Ok I have identified the antenna and already know what the tower is but it needs to be reroped, I just bought a used MA-770MDP 71' tubular tower from US Tower with power raise and lower but due to the location the lifting rope (wire rope) is very rusty and will need to be replaced I am familiar with this sort of thing but just thought I would see if anyone has had the pleasure to do one?

Thanks

My MA-550MDP now has stainless wire rope, with a tensile rating of twice the stock wire. It was not a bad project, but getting the hardware off the top of each section to allow for removal was a little troublesome due to the tight fit. With the tower supported on the ground, I just walked out the sections by hand. For your larger model some help may be needed. It had lived near the ocean for a while and really needed a change. Paint is a good idea too.

While you are at it, make sure the pulleys are OK. Some were worn badly. Also make sure the rivets that hold the track are OK, as they fatigue easily.
