Was dissapointed in my Buxcomm response to a G5RV problem, this was in a previous post.

Things have turned around, courteous, helpful, quick response.

Now have to rate Buxcomm support very good...

I've bought a bunch of stuff from Buck over the years and I've never been disappointed.  A handful of times I've bothered Buck with dumb questions by email, and I've always had a quick helpful response.  Glad to hear you only had the one unhappy experience.

Perhaps before you purchase from Buc again you should read all the negative replies against his performance. At 77 years old or not, if we had been face to face I would have decked him for the way he talked to my wife when she called to clear up a minor detail. Nope, never again, not in a million years would I purchase from Buc!

Buck became aware of my post..
My post was mild unoffensive, etc.
It is here on this forum for the World to see and judge.

Bucks sickening reply !!!
(Cut-paste)

"I hope you use the BALUN to your good, but NEVER again will we honor an order from you.
, ..please find another vendor for your purchases.
You are a vain person and a poor imposter. The Real Willie Nelson is a personal friend of ours!!! "

I regret having to post this against a fellow Ham but also feel my fellow Hams need to be informed that the Company they are dealing with may turn against them violently.
I also fear what Buck might say or do by my posting his email.
However we will let the chips fall where they may...

I ordered the Rascal V GLX digital mode interface 5 years ago.  It worked right out of the box.  Recently I've had a problem and emailed Buxcomm support.  Buck has traded several emails with me helping me troubleshoot, and has offered to ship me a replacement part if I need it.

I think Buxcomm support is excellent.  I would definitely buy from them again.

Perhaps before I purchase from Buck again I should remember all the perfectly good purchases I've had from him.  My most recent purchase from Buxcomm was a month or so ago; ordered a bunch of assorted parts.  Got everything VERY quickly, the prices were great, and shipping was lightning quick.  But one item I ordered wasn't in stock.  I got an email from Buxcomm saying they were out of it and a paypal credit for the item within an hour or two of ordering.

I can tell there are people out there who are unhappy with Buxcomm.  I don't know what your problem is or was, but EVERY time I've bought stuff from Buxcomm, I"ve been entirely satisfied.  Good prices, good service, and Buck has always been VERY helpful when I had questions.

Certain people set Buc off like a rocket, no one probably knows Buc's criteria for his assaults but believe me he actually enjoys this practice.

I just ordered a bunch of small parts from Buxcomm--they've got some 19" whips with a 3/8x24 ferrule for $4, just a great value, and also 56" fiberglass rods, 3/8x24 fitting on one end, with a copper wire in the center--$10 for a ready-made 6m mobile antenna, not to mention a great item for the mast of a homebrewed mobile whip.

Anyway, I ordered from my desk, via the web, on Wednesday at lunch.  Paid $6 for UPS ground shipping, the cheapest option.  Had a confirmation and tracking number within an hour.  On Thursday afternoon I checked the tracking number--and the package was already at my house!  A lot of that is just luck, and the fact that I'm only a couple of hundred miles from the company.  But that is still FAST service no matter how you consider it!  :-)

Thanks again, Buxcomm!  Great prices, lightning-fast service!

I called them with a question about one of the products they sell and was treated just fine. I must have gotten Buck on a good day as he was very nice and helpful to me.

Then by all means you should support him with your purchases, but my problem is Buc himself and I will continue to inform the public as to his crappy treatment and disrespectful ways.  He is an insulting fellow and has a real problem, if you like being insulted than purchase from him.  If you don't like me and others to explain how we were insulted and threatened then don't read the many negative reports on Buxcomm and his odd behavior.  I for one will not support any group, organization, business or person that has so many negative reports from people that have absolutely no ax to grind except for their treatment at the hands of this disrespectful individual.  I don't care for the policies or demeanor at AES, but I will still do business from AES if there is no other choice, I will "NOT" purchase from Buxcomm for any reason or under any circumstances.  It is not just me or my opinion, there are many disgruntled and insulted potential customers that walked away from Buxcomm, I ran away!
