Can someone comment on the Kenwood TM-D700A and Icom 2800H  radios given my requirements
for a rig of this type.  They seem to be real close in terms of feature/function/price.  Thanks

My requirements
1. Packet Radio
2. Cross Band operation
3. Built in TNC capabalities
4. Ease of use to run mobile or from a Home shack

I would hope that you get some real users of these fine radios to respond!!  Seems everyone either is shy or may not read these forums.  You are in luck if no one does respond as there are several reviews on both of these rigs on this EHAM website under the "Product Review" page.  Looks like the Kenwood is the winner so far.  Keep in mind that the Hams that did the reviews would surely welcome an email if you were to have direct questions about the radios and features.  73's and happy radio hunting de KB9UMT Don
