AG5P, I would encourage you to contact your credit card company and inform them of the situation. They will, or at least certainly should, refund your money and issue a chargeback to Lido.

And while it isn't the topic of the thread, I too am a happy satisfied customer of mountguys.com. I got a great product for a reasonable price with very fast shipping.

The ONLY WAY his scheme will end is when ARRL stops letting him place ads in QST. I've sent emails but they must fall on deaf ears. Makes me wonder why I'm a member ( ARRL ) and they allow scum like this to rip off their own.

I said it once, I'll say it again:

DO NOT TRUST ANYONE WHO:
rips people off, and tells lies to get your money.

DO NOT TRUST ANYONE WHO:
rips people off, and tells lies to get your money.

DO NOT TRUST ANYONE WHO:

DO NOT TRUST ANYONE WHO:

DO NOT TRUST ANYONE WHO:

DO NOT TRUST ANYONE WHO:

Jim,
you are the ultimate P.O.S.

Looks like all the neg reviews are true.  I ordered 2 mounts on 2 May 2009, received one of them along with a GPS antenna (which I did not order)been calling and sending emails since.  On 9 May they said the other mount would be shipped out.  25 may, nothing, request a refund, they said that would go out, 4 July, no refund. I am 68 years old and have never encountered a business as screwed up as this one!! Will just report them to BBB out there and all the other proper authorties and just write off my $$ lost.

Ordered two mounts July 31, no response to multiple emails and phone calls... but they sure did charge my credit card quickly!

I emailed Deb at ARRL; there's not much she can do.  QST won't take their advertising anymore.

Looks like it'll be chargeback time if I don't receive my order soon.

I appreciate the feedback on this company.  I was going to order several mounts from them but am glad I saw this feedback first.  I will avoid them and let my friends know as well!

Oh my god!  This site is so funny...........and true!  I am one of the more recent victims to their treachery.  I'm out $37.00 and like everyone else, cannot get a response from the "Jim".  I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and anyone else I can think of.  This site is truly the one thing that made me laugh throughout this whole ordeal.  Thank you!

Hey Jim Newcomb,
How about shipping me my order???  Or will I be another one of your casualties?  I have already advised the business that referred me to you, so they don't send any other customers to you.  The least you could do is to send me the item I paid for.  Here's my order number in case you'd like to do the "right thing" and actually provid the item I've paid for.

Order#2604116 (I'm sure you keep good records!)

Hey guys,

Glad I found your comments about Lido Mounts.  I also ordered a mount from them and was waiting for it to be delivered.

Was fortunate enough that my credit card company was understanding and did finally reverse the charges.

  Just wanted to say thanks!!!

Regards,

WD5EXS

Wish I would have seen this before ordering. Getting the run around with it has supposed to have been shipped 2 different times. USPS has no record of it actually being shipped on the tracking number Lido provided. Have finally filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Maryland State Attorney General. They do not even answer their phone or e-mails now.

Hi William,

if you used credit card, call your issuer quick before
60 days pass and you can cancel the sale and get
your money back.
