Hi,

Problem:
I've had success running AGWPE V2002.10 and WinPack
V6.70 on my laptop computer running W-98. When I up-
graded to W-XP AGWPE could not be found by the
WinPack software. I get an error message that said,
"failed to find the AGW Packet Engine. The Packet
Engine support has not been initialised".
Another Ham had the same experience with Windows
ME. Does anybody have an answer to this problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried, uninstall AGWPE, download the most recent version and install the new version?

Three is a AGWPE group on Yahoo groups: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SV2AGW/

Also check WinPack site, there is a patch for AGWPE, but I get a error message and AGWPE shuts down when using the patch.

You don't say, Larry; but does the program looking for the AGWPE program allow you to "browse"? Maybe you can first locate it for the new Windows program and then load it. Once done, it should know where to look at each boot up. Try doing that before you go for the patch.
Good luck.

SV2AGW is building a new driver for Windows XP.  Check  his suite in about a week or so for a update.

SV2AGW now said may be a while on Windows XP.  He said he is very busy with his job.  See the Yahoo group site for discussion.
