Anyone out there had problems programming the Kenwood TM-G707 Dual Bander using factory made Kenwood cable and the software downloaded from the Kenwood site. Every time I try to read from or write to the radio, I get a communications link error message. Have tried all different settings on COM1.

I notice your post is old.  Have you figured this out?  I'm getting ready to put all my freq. into the Kenwood prog and also try to download to the TM-G707.

I too cannot program my new 707 with the downloaded software and cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check out the program called Link700 by WA3HRL. This handles the TM-G707 and several other Kenwood radios. I've got a copy and like it a lot. You will need the Kenwood cable...
