  My anti static earthing lead measures 1.5 meg is this normal?HuhHuhHuhHuh?

Yes, this is completely normal. The 1.5Meg series resistor is to provide current-limiting in the event you touch something with enough voltage to hurt you.

  Okay thanks, there isnt a seperate resistor as such, the lead itself is the resistance.
