If you don't already have people interested in amateur radio, start out by doing a demo at the school.  Basically take some QST's and a tech study manual to the school principal and tell him the importance of a school club.  Do the demo, and see if you can use the school to teach license classes.  If all goes well you can form a club.

I am working right now to get use of the High School Library after school once a week for a class, also I would like our school (after we form a club of some sort)  to become a part of the ARRL "big project".  It will take time and effort on my part to get everything going, and I need to find a teacher willing to help sponser this.  That is the hard thing, my principal wants a teacher to sponser the club.. I currently can't find any teachers interested in ham radio enough to sponser a club.  We have one teacher who is a ham, and he is not active and says he does not have time to sponser any after school events.

I hope that you do better then I have so far.

What if the principal is an annoying old lady about 4' tall with a monotone voice who jumps to conclusions too fast?

Try talking to a teacher who is well liked.  I know at my school the principal really does not do anything with clubs.  Its up to a teacher and the ASB to prove the club.  But ever school is diffrent so good luck.

Well, probably all of the science teachers (4) would be interested. I will try that.

You can take it from a different point.. try to see (if you have a Spanish teacher) to get your spanish teacher interested.  There are people in South America that get on 10 just about every day, I was talking to a guy down in Brazil one day, and we spoke alittle bit in Spanish (I am currently learning spanish) it was a lot of fun, and I think that a spanish teacher would consider that a good learning tool.

As previously stated in the thread, the best way to interest others in Amateur Radio would be to give a demonstration. This applies to both teachers, and students. I managed to get a number of each interested in Amateur Radio in my school by showing them a variety of modes, such as PSK31. We also once did a demo using the now-dead UO-14. Good luck!

Well, I don't have a little HF rig for a psk demo, even though I do get on psk a lot.  I suppose I could use my VX7R for a Sat. demo, but I would probably need more than a rubber duck.  I did a demo in 4th grade with my RS htx-242 and a repeater.  I like all the ideas.

Maybe you could ask a local club for assistance with bringing out some equipment.. Most local clubs would be very supportive to this kind of thing...
