What is the correct DIN plug that fits the ACC1 8-pin socket. It looked like a DIN 8 but that doesn't fit.

The 746PRO ACC1 socket calls for an 8 pin din plug. I have used one on my 746PRO to key an amp. The ACC2 is 7 pins.I would recheck what you have to be shure it is correct. I know the plug on mine was a very tight fit, but it worked . Maybe try a different manufactuer and put a light to the plug and socket to make sure all the pins are straight and there are no nobstructions in the socket. Hope this helps.

I believe the Icom radios use smaller diameter pins on the DIN connectors. You can often "force" a standard DIN to fit but risk breaking the connector on the radio. RF connection and other ham stores advertise connectors specifically for Icom radios.

Thank you for the response. I now have the correct connector. The other one was a DIN 8 for Kenwood.
