For rig control you need an Icom compatible CAT cable. eBay is the cheapest source, they come in serial port and USB varieties. (search Icom CAT cable). Ham Radio Deluxe is very good, popular and free software to control your rig and much more.

For digi-modes you'll need a different kind of adapter/interface. What are you trying to do?

I've used both and I still use DX Keeper (from DX Lab) for logging but I want to migrate to something different.

Ham Radio Deluxe looks and feels a lot newer and better. You can try them both for free, suggest you see which one you prefer.
