After a long coma, the Amateur Radio station at Hutchison Institute of Technology in Fairbanks (Formerly Hutchison Career Center) is back on the air, with the call WL7CWY.   We have named the clube HARES for Hutchison Amateur Radio Experimenters Society.  The emphasis of the club is experimentation and R&D.   We intend on actually using some of the 12 unused amateur microwave bands, as well as to eventually have a Moonbounce station available to students.  We also have an antenna modeling and fabrication workshop and a huge roof to use as a test range.  We have also applied for the vanity call of KL7EX.  Not sure if or when that will come through, but stay tuned.  I'll post phostos on our website soon.

73 es Merry Christmas!

Check the ULS . How appropriate is it that a club from North Pole got its new callsign delivered in the wee hours of Christmas day ?
