Anyone using a PowerBook 1400 with an FT-1000D? Would appreciate any help to connect these for radio control, logging, etc. Thanks.

Mark,

I would think that it would be no different than connecting one of the desktop Macs. I would the MicroHam interface. They work fine with Macs and come with Mac drivers. I have one for my TS-570/G4 combo.

That is what virtually all the Mac software writers recommend.

I haven't looked at a 1400 in a long time. It just has serial ports - no USB, correct?

Yes, just serial ports... and I'll check into MicroHam. Thanks for your reply.

You will still need to connect the audio I/O separately. The MH interface only handles the computer to radio data link and the PTT line.
