PropView uses the included IONCAP engine to predict propagation between your QTH and a specified location, displaying the results graphically to show openings over a 24-hour period; both refraction (MUF) and absorption are considered. When used with DXView, locations can be specified by callsign, latitude/longitude, gridsquare, IOTA tag, or by simply clicking on a world map.
PropView can also monitor the IARU/NCDXC HF beacon network, allowing you to compare predicted propagation with actual propagation. When used with Commander, PropView can automatically QSY your transceiver to monitor beacons in a sequence you specify; the location of the currently active beacon is displayed on DXView's world map. Commander controls most Icom, Kenwood, Yaesu, TenTec, Elecraft, and FlexRadio HF transceivers equipped with a PC interface.
PropView, DXView, and Commander are all members of the freeware DXLab Suite, which is available via
www.qsl.net/dxlab .
