I'm in need of a schematic for the original Ameritron AL-80 (pre AL-80A). An electronic version would be fine but I'd be happy to cover the cost of copying and mailing a copy.

Sorry..I Should have read your post closer..you need the ORIGINAL AL-80 manual. It's obviously not at the Ameritron web-site.

John's suggestion is still a good one. Even if you don't see it, chances are it is there. You might send them an e-mail and ask.

You might take a look at KO4NR's web pages

He has some pictures of the inside of the AL80 that he got from W7RY.  If nothing else maybe you can backtrack and see if he has a manual or schematic for you.  W7RY has a website but no info there.  
Hams are always willing to share.  I got a schematic from Bill for converting my old SB1000 to a dedicated 6 meter amp.
