how do i open ports on my cable modem should i ask how do i find my modems ip adress?

First read the info on the echolink site.  You don't usually need to know the modem's ip address.  There should be software with your modem that you can use to tell it to open the ports that echolink needs.

I was wondering how to use echolink through a repeater. Or in other words...how do I type in the node # etc. correctly by using my DTMF pad on my HT.
