Years ago I saw a firm that sold hv switchingpower supplies for hf amps. I can not locate the firm, please help.

That was "watts unlimited", and it was operated by W9QQ, Tim Hulick.

Sadly, Tim went SK in 2008, so the company is no more.

Tim was a professional power supply designer, I seem to recall he worked in the broadcast industry.  It was a clever design, in that it was a lot of power supply for the money.

Sometime about 1991 I think, Dr. Hulick documented the power supply in a series of QEX articles.
